THE CYCLES OF LIFE
It is sad to see her go and I miss her very much already but it is also a relief now that she has finally left her body. Having cared for her over the last 4 years after she suffered a massive stroke, I feel a sense of peace and joy that she is finally free of pain and all her earthly limitations and is now able to express herself fully on whatever new dimension she has moved into. I can feel her presence around me more than ever.
Her passing also coincided with Deepavali, the festival of lights, which I am told is a very auspicious time to leave your body as it is a time of great celebration of the feminine and our Divine Mothers presence. So it was all perfect. I have been feeling so much the gift of my mother and the priviledge to have been able to offer whatever love and support I could have during her final years on this beautiful planet.
My Mothers passing has also deepened in me the mystery of Tantra, which includes very much the cycle of life and death and how they are so interconnected. In the end there is death and in the beginning there is sex. We all come here through the door of sex and we all leave here through the door of death.
Tantra focuses itself on the beginning of life which makes the sexual very important. Some say maybe we make it too important but with Tantra's approach it teaches how we can use life and death to discover that which is beyond both. How to go deep within our bodies and being and know what sex is, how to reveal the mystery of love and penetrate into the seed and into the full blossoming of life.

Last Monday night I had the pleasure of listening to a talk given by Andrew Barnes at my home with about 26 other very eager people.
I was told that this was a chance for me to meet Divine Masculine energy incarnate!!
That this man is so wonderful, his mere presence has the capacity to make a difference to your life. That it would be an experience not to be missed.
We all would have the opportunity to find out about the workshops he would be running whilst in Perth, his life transforming private sessions.....and also be able to ask him any... questions we may have about relationships, sexuality, orgasms and LIFE!
For those who don't know: Andrew Barnes is a Tantric relationship, sexuality and orgasm coach, author, speaker and Daka. He runs a private practice in Brisbane and has been training bodyworkers in a variety of disciplines in Australia and overseas since 1997.
Andrew is a leading authority on female sexuality, respected among his peers for his expertise and craft based on extensive studies and experience in Tantric practices, bodywork and sexuality philosophy. He is helping to shape an industry that is growing in relevance and acceptance. ...and one of the authors of the book HEART OF THE FLOWER.....
Andrew also, as it turns out did the same Masters program as me. So I was curious to meet him and it was interesting to compare our experiences and I am grateful to him for coming along and giving the talk.

The female genitalia in general has been demonised and hidden in our society and this has contributed to womens true sexual power having been suppressed.
In the quest for the perfect looking vagina - usually compared to the ones seen on porn sites - women are paying a high price both financially and emotionally by having their inner labia cut out to achieve some imagined ideal.

MORE FREEDOM AND CONNECTION AND BETTER SEX
The Valentines weekend workshop was a powerful new beginning for me. As we gathered together I knew I was in for something really different.
The main theme coming through with the participants were also being played out on a wider scale within world events that were happening at that time which was the continuing uprising in the Middle East and the cry for Freedom from all the oppression in that area.
So it was no wonder that the main issues reflected were also to do with the amount of control and freedom in our lives. What came through very clearly was that we all have a controller or dictator within our own bodies that is always telling us what we can and cannot do. This dictator has been put there by our parents, teachers and society and is how we develop the conditions and limitations upon which we build our identity and our lives. This matrix is our prison. Nobody likes living in a prison, let alone living in a body that feels like a prison.
One of the biggest areas of control is within our erotic bodies. This has created an epidemic of people that don’t want to feel or be fully present in their bodies and with their erotic energy. We all want the freedom to feel and be fully present especially with our pleasure and our intimacy. We all want the freedom to play and be creative in our relating and we all want freedom from habit, fear, shame and guilt and to able to realise our full sexual potential.
The Earth also actually needs us to explore our erotic energy. If we don’t then we will continue to destroy the planet and ourselves because when we disconnect from our physical selves it affects every level of our being and is very closely related to how we mistreat our ecosystems and our planet.
We are living in a time of great transformational change and I feel that part of that change has to do with healing our relationship to our sexuality and eroticism.
